Margaret Marge Gibeault, age 91, died August 27, 2011, at Cedar Lake Community Health Center, West Bend, WI. The former Margaret Doolan was born on the family farm, in the Township of Franklin, Manitowoc County on October 22, 1919 to John and Elizabeth Doolan. She was married to George Gibeault on March 9, 1943 at St Patricks Catholic Church, Maple Grove. Marge resided in Milwaukee from 1943 until 1972, where she raised her three children and worked outside the home. She was proud that she worked on the guidance systems for the US manned space flights. She and George moved to Reedsville for their retirement. She had been residing in West Bend since 2007. Marge is survived by her daughter, Norene Hochhaus of West Bend and her son and daughter-in-law Glenn & Julie Gibeault of Eagle River, Alaska, 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Marge is also survived by her sisters, Donna Schlei and Lou Raether both of Manitowoc, and her sister and brother-in-law, Rita & Joe Vogel of Reedsville and by her sisters-in-law, Charlotte Powers of Peshtigo and Adeline Holmes of Mishicot, and her brother-in-law and wife, Bernard & Clara Gibeault of Sun Prairie. She was preceded in death by her husband George in 2001, her daughter Janis Cichy-Johns, two sons-in-law, Thomas Hochhaus and Thomas Cichy and two sisters, Athlyn OConnell and Elizabeth Herold. Marge loved cooking, baking, entertaining and traveling. She saw most of the US including Hawaii and several trips to Alaska and did a tour of Ireland. She was always proud of her Irish roots. She was a good card player and enjoyed both cribbage and sheepshead. Marge was active in the Altar society and volunteered with cooking at the annual firemans picnic in Reedsville. Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 30 at Holy Family Catholic Church in Brillion. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Timothy Brandt with entombment at Calvary Mausoleum in Manitowoc. Friends may call at church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass at 11:00 a.m. The Wieting Funeral Home, Reedsville is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
