Margaret "Maggie" G. Kroening

Margaret “Maggie” G. Kroening, age 97, a resident of Brillion, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, November 26, 2023. She was born on April 13, 1926 daughter of the late Orvin and Sophia (Stanelle) Kreiman. She married Harlan Kroening in 1950, and they shared 40 years together. Harlan preceded her in death on June 18, 1990. Margaret was a member of the Zion United Methodist Church in Forest Junction. For many years Margaret worked at home as a cake decorator. She supplied beautiful cakes for numerous weddings, birthdays, graduations and many other occasions always trying to fulfill the wishes of her customers. She also enjoyed lawn care, her flowers and family gatherings. Margaret will be deeply missed by her children: Marilyn Kroening of Manitowoc, Gary (Arlene Bastian) Kroening of rural Brillion; a sister: Gladys Mazanec of Manitowoc; a brother: Alvin Kreiman of Oklahoma; and a sister-in-law: Janet Buboltz, Brillion. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Harlan, a son: Randy Kroening in 1992; sisters and brothers-in-law: Helena (Claude Richard & Hubert) Gander, Verna (Frank) Stedl, Clara (Carl) Breisch, Gertrude (Joe) Jagodinsky and a brother-in-law: Joe Mazanec. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 2, 2023 at the Pielhop Wieting Funeral Home, Brillion. Officiating at the Service will be the Rev. Justin Dietel with burial at Brillion Community Cemetery. The family will greet relatives and friends at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. Saturday until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated.
