Maria K. Kuehnel, age 64, of St. Cloud, WI, passed away at her home on Thursday, December 21, 2023.

She was born July 16, 1959, in Seoul, Korea and adopted by Reno "Skip" Jr. & Rebecca (Pederson) Kuehnel. Maria graduated from Kiel High School in 1977. Following graduating from Kiel High School, Maria attended and graduated from Lakeshore Technical College with degrees in fashion design and accounting.

On April 20, 1993, she married Clarence Witzel in Bronson, Florida. Maria worked for many years establishing restaurants for Herb Kohler and worked at them as a chef. She was a very talented self-taught cook and baker; most of her talent was recipes put together by herself.

Maria was a fun-loving people person. She was always willing to lend a hand to people in need.

Maria will be dearly missed by everyone who knew her. She was a beautiful person and friend to many.

Survivors include her husband, Clarence; her daughter, Natasha (Daniel) Cerda of Plymouth; her stepchildren, Clarence Jr. Witzel of San Francisco, CA, William Witzel of Sheboygan; her seven grandchildren. Maria is further survived by two sisters and 13 brothers; and three sisters-in-law, Pat (Don) Stronck, Karen (Richard) Gudeyon, and Mary Mackenzie

Preceding Maria in death were her parents, Reno "Skip" & Rebecca Kuehnel.

A Celebration of Life will be planned for a later date and will be announced.
