Marie M. Wozniak, age 94, of New Holstein, died peacefully in her home on Wednesday, May 15, 2013. The former Marie Bittner was born on May 23, 1918 in Chilton to the late John & Emma (Nennig) Bittner. On June 9, 1938, she married Michael Wozniak at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Chilton. Michael preceded her in death on August 16, 1979. She was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in New Holstein. Survivors include her four children, James (Betty) Wozniak of Chilton, Roseann Wozniak of New Holstein, Peter (Cheryl) Wozniak of Oostburg, and Judy (John) Boeldt of Kohler; nine grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren: three sisters-in-laws, Vivian Bittner of Appleton, Jean Rosmonowski & Emily Rosmonowski both of Fond du Lac; brother-in-law, Donald (Mary) Kind of Fond du Lac. She was preceded in death by her parents, John & Emma Bittner; a daughter, Mary Jane Wozniak; two sisters, Erma (Herman) Daun and Armella (Bill) Bolz; three brothers, Francis Bittner, Eddie (Lou) Bittner, and John (Loretta) Bittner; two sisters-in-law, Stella (Joe) Winter and Lottie Kind; two brothers-in-law, Henry & Ted Rosmonowski. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 4:00 PM on Tuesday, May 21, 2013 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church 1724 Madison Street in New Holstein. The Rev. Harold Berryman officiating and Parish director, Joe Zenk assisting. Burial will be in the Holy Rosary Parish Cemetery. Family and friends may call at Holy Rosary Church on Tuesday afternoon from 2-3:45 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed for Alzheimer's research.
