Marilyn L. (Duebner) Nate, age 60, of Reedsville, passed away on Sunday, March 18, 2018 at her residence following a courageous battle with cancer.
Marilyn was born on June 30, 1957 in Manitowoc, daughter of the late Leonard and Delores (
Rosenow) Duebner. She was a graduate of Manitowoc Lincoln Senior High, class of 1976. Marilyn was very active in her community and with her children. She coached various sports, was an aide for the Reedsville school district, worked at the Corner House, was part of the Reedsville betterment group that planted flowers around town, and was an avid animal lover. She raised peacocks and owned and operated an Alpaca Farm for many years. She also volunteered as a Cub Scout leader, at animal shelters, and did a mission trip to Peru through the Red Cross.
Marilyn is survived by her children: Heidi (Shane) Rusch and Brian Nate all of Reedsville; a granddaughter: Autumn; her two sisters and brothers-in-law: Sandy (Jim) Bursek and twin Marlene (Mark) Brunner, all of Manitowoc; step-brother: Ronald Duebner of Rogersville, MS; special friend: Marty Weber of Chilton; father of Heidi: James Blashka; father of Brian: Daniel Nate; other relatives, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, a step sister-in-law: Marilyn Duebner, and other relatives.
Funeral Mass will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at Holy Family Catholic Church in Brillion. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be Rev. Timothy Brandt. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Friends may call at the church on Wednesday morning from 9:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m.
