Obituary

Marion E. Heus, age 97, of New Holstein, formerly of Marytown, died Monday, May 14, 2012 at St Elizabeth Hospital in Appleton. The former Marion Olson was born April 30, 1915 at the family home in North Fond du Lac, to the late Howard & Esther (Haberkorn) Olson. Marion graduated from North Fond du Lac High School and received an associate degree from Fountain City Business School. On May 14, 1946, she married Raymond J. Heus at St. Mary's Catholic Church. The couple resided in Marytown until moving to New Holstein in 1996. Her husband, Raymond, preceded her in death on August 12, 1996. Marion had worked at Giddings & Lewis during the duration of World War II. Following her marriage, her life was devoted to raising her family. In the years that followed, she worked at the Salvatorian Mission Warehouse in New Holstein and on occasion, did seasonal work at Bartel's Mink Ranch in Marytown. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Marytown. Survivors include her son, David (Amber) Heuss of Lake Mills; her daughter, Karen (Joel) Anthony of Burke, VA; six grandchildren, Alex Saltekoff, Stephen Saltekoff, Alisha Heuss, Aja Heuss, Meggen Heuss, and Maxwell Heuss; a great-grandchild, Atlas Flack, her sister, Jeanette Duquaine of Fond du Lac, and two sisters-in-law, Helen Olson of Fond du Lac and Alice Heus of Marytown. Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Raymond Heus; a son, Nicholas Heus; and five brothers, Richard, Chester, William, Walter, and Howard Olson. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, May 18, 2012 at St. Mary's Catholic Church N10232 Highway G New Holstein, WI "Marytown". Rev. Joseph Coerber will officiate. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Family and friends may call at the church Friday morning, May 18th, from 9:00 AM until the time of services.
