Mark A.
Norling
Feb 11, 1980 — Jun 5, 2026
Mark Norling was born in Gaylord, Minnesota on Monday, February 11, 1980, to Terry and Jody (Mundahl) Norling.
The family moved several times before moving to Pipestone, MN. Mark was a member of the Boy Scouts. He enjoyed playing baseball, going to visit his Grandmas (just a bike ride away), going roller skating and hanging out with family and friends.
In 1994 the family moved to the Elkhart Lake area, where Mark graduated in 1998. Following graduation, he moved to Madison with friends (and maybe party a little). While there, he met Helen Bothwell and they eventually relocated to Portland, Oregon together. In 2006 they moved to Flagstaff, Arizona where he resided.
Throughout his life, Mark held various positions that allowed him to work with his hands. He was a talented wood worker who enjoyed building custom artistic pieces for his customers. Outside of work, he loved hanging out with friends, cooking a good meal, hiking, disc golfing, dancing, and listening to music. He also cherished traveling with Helen and spending time with his beloved dogs, Fela and Soumy.
Remember me in your heart, your thoughts, your memories of the time we loved, the times we cried, the times we fought, the times we laughed. For if you always think of me, I will never be gone.
Mark will be missed and lovingly remembered by his parents, Terry and Jody (Mundahl) Norling of New Holstein, WI; his brother, Matthew (Mel) Norling of Waldo, WI; his niece, Veronica (Tyler) Grunert of Sheboygan, WI; and his nephew, Tyler Norling of Madison, WI. He is further survived by two great-nephews, Blake and Kamden, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, life-long friend, Helen, and many friends.
Mark was preceded in death by his grandparents, Merlyn and Luella Mundahl, Lorraine Schroer and Jerry Leitheiser; his aunts, Diane Carstensen, Shelly Hoffman, and Toni Norling; and his uncles, Raymond Norling and Gregory Mundahl.
