Marlene J. (Wirth) Klotz, age 89, of New Holstein, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, June 20, 2022, at her home. She was born May 26, 1933, in the Town of Marshfield near St. Joe to Bernard & Isabella (Knaus) Wirth. Marlene graduated from New Holstein High School in 1951. On January 15, 1955, she married Earl Klotz at St. Cloud Catholic Church. Earl preceded her in death on September 2, 2012. Marlene enjoyed gardening and was known for her delicious desserts. She was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in New Holstein. Survivors include her three sons, William Klotz of Brantwood, WI, Thomas (Lori) Klotz of St. Cloud, and Randy (Mary) Klotz of New Holstein; her three grandchildren, Katie (Nathan) Peterson, Michael (Emily) Klotz, and Mitchell Klotz; three great-grandchildren, Marie Peterson, Cecelia and Lillian Louise Klotz; her sister, Laura Mae Goll of Madison; her in-laws, Mary Wirth of Fond du Lac, Betty Wirth of Omro, and Allen (Rita) Klotz of New Holstein. She is further survived by many nieces; nephews; other relatives; and friends. Preceding her in death were her parents, Bernard "Ben" & Isabella Wirth; her husband, Earl; seven sisters, Evelyn (Arnold) Braun, Estella (William) Mueller, Lorraine (Ambrose) Wirtz, Alita (Ervin) Merten, Mildred (Tony) Brenner, Lillian Wirth, and Viola Wirth; five brothers, Br. Edwin Wirth SVD, Leo (Delores) Wirth, Lloyd Wirth, Delmer Wirth, and Melvin Wirth; two brothers-in-law, Kenneth Goll and Kenneth (Eleanor) Klotz. A Liturgy Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 6:00 PM on Monday, June 27, 2022, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 1724 Madison Street, New Holstein, WI 53061. Burial will take place in Holy Rosary Cemetery. Visitation: Family and friends may visit with Marlene's family at Holy Rosary Catholic Church on Monday, June 27th from 2:30 PM until 5:30 PM.
