Martha Ann Ray

Martha Ann Lathers Ray, age 85 of Sherwood, died on Monday April 15 ^th at Theda Clark Regional Medical Center in Neenah.

She was born on January 25, 1934 to Henry J. Lathers and Jesse Beulah (King) Lathers, in Garden City, MI. Martha graduated from W.A. Foote Memorial Hospital in Jackson, MI in June 1955.  She married Charles W. Ray September 24, 1955, the couple divorced in 1990, and Martha moved to Northport, MI where she worked as a C.E.N.A. in the hospital care center for about 25 years.  She then moved to Fayetteville, NC to be near her son Charlie Ray and daughter-in-law Charlene Ray.  Then in November of 2018 she moved to Sherwood, WI to live with her daughter Cynthia Jane Levknecht and son-in-law Lee S. Levknecht.

Survivors include her son, Charlie (Charlene) Ray, her daughter, C. Jane (Lee) Levknecht, her grandchildren Rocky (Doreen) Ray, Jessi (Adam) Koehler, Melissa (Ed) Hill, Rebecca Ray, Kristina McNeil, Joshua McAtee, and David Ray; as well as eight great grandchildren.  She is further survived by sister Elizabeth McDonald; brother John (Sharon) Lathers. Martha was preceded in death by daughter Pamela J. Ray; sisters Ruth Olsavsky, Esther Griffis, Mary Knaup and brother David Lathers.

Funeral service for Martha will be held on Thursday, April 18 ^th at 11:00 a.m. at Brillion Community Church. The Rev. Sam Timm will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
