Obituary

Marvin H. Kraus, age 94, of Calvary Station "rural Mt. Calvary", passed away Sunday, July 8, 2018, at the Hospice Home of Hope in Fond du Lac with his wife, Betty at his side. She faithfully was at his side the past four months while he was at the hospice home. Marvin was born on June 24, 1924, in the Town of Marshfield to William & Agnes (Schaefer) Kraus. On December 28, 1976, he married Betty (Halbach) Muellenbach. He was a life-long farmer on the family homestead; he retired in 1988. His earlier years, he worked on the Agnesian Sister's farm where the Hospice Home now stands. Marvin was a member of St. Isidore Parish-Holy Cross Church in Mt. Calvary. He served as a Supervisor on the Town of Marshfield Board and volunteered at the Villa Loretto Nursing Home. He enjoyed watching the Brewers and Wheel of Fortune. Marvin is survived by his wife, Betty; his children, Rose (Mike) Hauser of Chilton, Mike (Sue) Muellenbach of Malone, Jean (Jim) Baus of Mt. Calvary, and Joe (Terry) Muellenbach of Marytown; his grandchildren, Nick Hauser, Beth (Nick) Dodge, Brian (Cori) Hauser, Emily (Jason) Saffert, Ashley Muellenbach (fiance', Alex), Tim Muellenbach, Becky Baus (special friend, Ben), Travis (Erin) Baus, Amber Muellenbach (special friend, Blaine), and Cody (Mary) Muellenbach; great-grandchildren, Kaylee, Brayden, Hailey, Gracyn, Olivia, Fletcher, and Sawyer; his sisters-in-law, Rosetta Kraus, Bernice Kraus, Marlene Kraus, Tootie Kraus, Dolores Halbach, Marie (Bob) Mueller, Ruth Halbach, Evie (Muellenbach) Pavlicek and her husband, Lou; and his brother-in-law, Allen (Chris) Halbach. He is further survived by many nieces; nephews; other relatives; and friends. Marvin was preceded in death by his parents, William & Agnes Kraus; his grandchildren, Amy & Ethan; his siblings, Evelyn (Al) Cords, Rosetta (Ralph) Ries, Tony Kraus, Jerome Kraus, Ralph Kraus, Alex Kraus, Jeanette Kraus, Genevieve Kraus, and Charles Kraus; his father-in-law & mother-in-law, Alois Sr. & Catherine (Boehnlein) Halbach; and his in-laws, Chuck Grebe, Al Jr. Halbach, Earl (Monica) Halbach, and Roger (Helen) Halbach. A Liturgy Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 6:00 PM on Wednesday, July 11, 2018, at St. Isidore Parish-Holy Cross Church, 308 S. County Road W, Mt. Calvary, WI 53057. Rev. Gary Wegner, OFM Cap will officiate. Entombment will take place at Shrine of Rest Chapel Mausoleum at Ledgeview Memorial Park Cemetery in Fond du Lac. Visitation: Family and friends may greet the family at the church on Wednesday, July 11th from 2:00 PM until 5:30 PM.
