Obituary

Mary Ann (Liebl) Jodar, age 94, of New Holstein passed away with her family at her side on Thursday, June 25, 2026.

She was born February 2, 1932, in Luxemburg, WI to Edgar & Marie (Kosnar) Liebl. Mary Ann graduated from Green Bay East High School. On November 20,1954, she married Glen DeWolf; he preceded her in death on June 4, 1957. On October 31, 1959, she married Donald Jodar in Green Bay, WI. Donald preceded her in death on January 4, 2017.

Mary Ann worked as the secretary at Holy Rosary School in New Holstein from 1974 until retiring in 1997. She was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in New Holstein. She sold Avon products for over 35 years.

Mary Ann enjoyed attending the grandkids' sporting and school activities, sewing and crafts. She and Don loved to camp and traveled extensively throughout the country.

Those left to cherish her memory include her three children, James (Deb) Jodar of rural Chilton "Jericho", Judy (Jim) LaPlant of Green Bay, and Jeff (Missy) Jodar of Dyckesville; 10 grandchildren, Kurt & Mike Jodar, Brett Steffen, CJ Steffen, Kendra (Shane) Rabideaux, Abby Merten, Violet LaPlant, Maria (Andrew) Luebke, Megan (Gabe) Moore, and Rachel Jodar; six great-grandchildren, Logan, Reagan, Emory, Liam, Lyla, and Laina and the seventh great-grandchild expected in July; her sister, Marge Smaglik; nieces; nephews; other relatives; and friends.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Edgar & Marie Liebl, her first husband, Glen DeWolf; her second husband, Donald Jodar; and three brothers-in-law, Robert Smaglik, Robert Jodar, and Jerome (Donna) Jodar.

A Liturgy Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, July 2, 2026, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 1724 Madison Street, New Holstein, WI 53061.

Mary Ann will be laid to rest next to her husband, Donald, in the Holy Rosary Catholic Cemetery following the Mass.

Visitation: Family and friends may visit with Mary Ann's family at Holy Rosary Church on Thursday, July 2nd from 9:00 AM until 10:45 AM.

Mary Ann's family expresses their sincere appreciation to the staff at Woodside in Green Bay and Unity Hospice for taking good care of her these past few months.
