Obituary

Mary Ann "Molly" (Rayburn) Lennie, age 78, of rural Kiel, passed away at her home with her family at her side on Sunday, January 30, 2022. Molly was born, November 20, 1943, in Dayton, Ohio to Mervin & Frances (Tibbles) Rayburn. She grew up in Middletown, Ohio, where she attended and graduated from Middletown High School in 1961. Molly received her degree in dental hygiene from The Ohio State University. On February 6, 1965, she married Brian Lennie in Middletown. Molly worked as a dental hygienist in Middletown and in 1970, her family moved to Whitefish Bay, WI where she continued her work in dentistry and raised her three sons. After Molly and her husband retired, the couple moved to Wilke Lake full-time, while spending their winters in Siesta Key, FL. Molly enjoyed playing bridge, water skiing, and watching her boys ski and play soccer. She also enjoyed traveling the world with Brian, mostly on various cruise lines. Molly was also a longtime Packers and Neil Diamond fan. Spending time with her family brought Molly the most joy. In addition to raising her three boys, Molly also was deeply involved in helping raise her grandchildren. Molly especially enjoyed entertaining her family and friends at Wilke Lake, going on sunset pontoon rides, and sharing stories around the evening campfire. Molly was a member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority and a member of the United Methodist Church of Whitefish Bay. Survivors include her husband, Brian; her three sons, Doug (Laura) Lennie of Mequon, WI, Brad Lennie (Tanya) of Washington, DC, and Brian Scott (Danielle) Lennie of Wauwatosa, WI; and six grandchildren, Nicole, Katie, Alison, Matthew, Dylan, and Becca Lennie. Preceding her in death were her parents and her brother, Tom Rayburn.
