Mary Rae Micke, age 61, of N9230 Cemetery Rd. Brillion died on Sunday September 2, 2012 at her home. She was born on September 10, 1950 in Appleton, daughter of the late Raymond and Doris (Knoke) Witter. On August 19, 1972 she married Don Micke in Appleton. Mary taught in several schools in the area and from 2000 through 2011 was a Library Media Specialist at Xavier High School. Mary was a member of Holy Family Parish in Brillion. Survivors include her husband Don, 2 sons, Mike (Sara) Micke, Dan Micke and special friend Amy, all of Brillion, three grandchildren: Matthew, Kaitlin, and Eli, a sister Cathy (Jeff) Hofkens of Neenah, a cousin James Buckley and other relatives and friends. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, a grandson Ryne Spindler, and her father-in-law and mother-in-law Raymond W. and Rosella Micke. Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 7, 2012 at Holy Family Catholic Church, 1100 W. Ryan St. Brillion. The Rev. Timothy Brandt will officiate. Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery in Hollandtown. Friends may call at the church on Thursday from 5:00-8:00 p.m., and then again on Friday from 9:30- 10:45 a.m. with Mass to follow at 11:00 a.m. There will be a parish prayer service at 8:00 p.m. Thursday. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Marys name.
