Michael P. Mangin, Jr.

Michael P. Mangin Jr. age 74, of Cato, died unexpectedly on Tuesday June 26, 2018, at the same place he was born, the family homestead, son of the late Michael and Lillian (Denor) Mangin, born on August 11, 1943 in the Town of Cato. Mike attended St. Patrick’s Elementary School and graduated from Reedsville High School in 1961. He served in the U.S. Army Reserves from 1962 to 1969. He was employed at the Manitowoc Company from 1963 until he retired in 2004. He enjoyed watching the Packers and Brewers and a good sheepshead game. Survivors include his sisters and brothers, Cathy (Dick) Shavlik of Whitelaw, Mary Popp of Two Rivers, Jim (Connie) Mangin of Valders, Mel (Judy) Mangin of Cato, Maggie (Bob) Braun of Whitelaw and many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Mike was preceded in death by his parents, an infant brother Thomas and a brother Paul. Cremation has taken place and private burial of his cremains will be in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Maple Grove.
