Obituary

Michael C. Weber, age 86, of rural Chilton "Marytown," passed away Tuesday evening,

January 16, 2024, at Ascension Calumet Medical Center in Chilton.

He was born April 30, 1937, on the Weber homestead near Marytown to Edmund &

Adelheid (Schmitt) Weber. Michael attended St. Mary's Catholic Grade School in

Marytown and New Holstein High School.

Michael began his millwright career at Ralston Purina Feeds in Fond du Lac. On August

20, 1966, he married Kathleen Pickart at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in

Johnsburg. In the 1970s, he and his wife began operating the Weber Hog Farm on the

family homestead and did so for more than 50 years. While farming, Michael co-started

M&S Construction and eventually completed his career with Kaytee Products in Chilton.

Michael loved fishing and made many trips to Canada, Lake Erie, and a dream trip to

Alaska. He enjoyed roasting hogs and he took great pride in making people's special

occasions perfect.

Michael is survived by his wife, Kathleen, their 5 children and 12 grandchildren: David

(Sue) Weber of Marytown and their children Justin (Hannah Flury), Avery, and Lauren;

Daniel (Karen) Weber of Pipe and their children Alex (Amanda), Ethan, and Isaac;

Douglas (Carolyn) Weber of Pittsburgh, PA, and their children Catherine and Matthew;

Mary (Steve) Meves of Lindenhurst, IL and their children Michael and Nathan; and

Karen (Peter) Berube of La Grange, IL and their children Henry and William. In addition,

Michael is survived by his sister, Annabelle (Larry) Schmidtke; his brother, Alfred ''Fritz''

(Sally) Weber; his sisters-in-law, Kathy Weber, Joannie (Don) Langenfeld, Annie

Mueller, and Rosie (Bernie) Petrie; his brothers-in-law, Charles Leonard and Jim (Linda)

Pickart. Michael is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Edmund & Adelheid Weber; his sister, Rose

Leonard; his brother, Edmund Weber; his father-in-law & mother-in-law, Gregor &

Lorraine Pickart; and his brother-in-law, Paul Mueller.

A Liturgy of the Word will be held at 11:30 AM on Saturday, January 27, 2024, at the

Sippel Funeral Home, 2618 Altona Avenue, New Holstein, WI 53061.

Family and friends may visit with Michael's family at the Sippel Funeral Home Saturday

morning, January 27th from 8:30 AM until 11:15 AM.

Michael's family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the nurses at

Ascension Medical Center and the Calumet County Home Healthcare staff members for

their care given to him.
