Mildred A. Haensgen, age 92, of Johnsburg, passed away with her family at her side on Sunday, March 20, 2016, at the Hospice Home of Hope.
The former Mildred Schneider was born February 20, 1924, in the Town of Taycheedah to Joseph & Rosa (Kraus) Schneider.
She attended Holy Cross Grade School in Mount Calvary. On September 28, 1948, she married Orville Haensgen at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Mount Calvary. She and her husband farmed until retiring in 1988.
Mildred was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Johnsburg. She loved to play bingo, cards and listen to Molly B.
Survivors include her husband, Orville; her two sons, Ron (Barb) Haensgen and Bob (Kathy) Haensgen both of Fond du Lac; Four grandchildren, Rachel (Jim) Crofts, Ryan (fiancé, Kristina) Haensgen, Heidi (Brian) Ludvigson and Sara Haensgen; four great-grandchildren, Chelsea and Amber Ludvigson and Jameson and Braydon Crofts; three step-grandchildren, Roya, Alexis and Alivia Sedghi; her brother, Ralph Schneider; two sisters, Erna Halbach and Lorraine (Alex) Ebertz; two sisters-in-law, Marjorie Schneider and Rosie Haensgen. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Joseph & Rosa Schneider; six brothers, Ottie, Clarence, Edwin, Walter, Claude and Harvey Schneider; her sister, Edna (Schneider) Hochrein; eight brothers-in-law, Sylvester, Clarence, Leander, Alfred and Marvin Haensgen, Jim Halbach, Cletus Hochrein and Ervin Bartel and 10 sisters-in-law, Rosemary Schneider, Irene Schneider, Leona Schneider, Bernice Schneider, Marian Schneider, Lucille Haensgen, Frances Haensgen, Mary Agnes Haensgen, Regina Haensgen and Adell Bartel.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 3:00 PM on Wednesday, March 23, 2016, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Johnsburg (N9288 County Road W Malone, WI 53049). Rev. Gary Wegner, OFM Cap will officiate. Mildred will be laid to rest in the parish cemetery.
Visitation: Family and friends may call at the church on Wednesday, March 23rd from 11:00 AM until 2:45 PM.
Memorials in Mildred's name may be directed to the family for the Hospice of Fond du Lac or to St. John's Church.
