Mirtha A. Hansman, age 85, of Fond du Lac, formerly of St. Cloud, died Thursday, February 07, 2013, following a brief illness. The former Mirtha Heuer was born April 8, 1927, in the Town of Herman in Sheboygan County to the late Arthur & Erna (Strassburg) Heuer. On June 28, 1947, she married Dr. Willard Hansman at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Howards Grove. The couple lived in St. Cloud all their married life. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in the Town of Forest. Survivors include her husband, Dr. Willard "Doc" Hansman of Fond du Lac; her five children, Eileen (Harvey) Daun of Chilton, Charles (Eileen Kennedy) Hansmann of Sea Cliff, NY, Kay (Ronald) Neitzel of Fond du Lac, Jerry (Betty) Hansman of Fond du Lac, and Wendy (Mike) Brunker of Cross Plains, WI; four grandchildren, Marcy & Heidi Neitzel, Angela Gile, and Grant Hansman; a great-granddaughter, Mallorie Gile; her sisters, Mary (Lloyd) Jaeger of Howards Grove and Lynn (Allen) Kraemer of Howards Grove; her brothers-in-law, Richard Kuether of Howards Grove, Monroe (Kathryn) Hansmann of New Holstein, Dr. Elroy (Audrey) Hansman of Appleton, and Walter (Carol) Hansmann of St. Anna. She is further survived by nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her parents, Arthur & Erna Heuer; a loving grandson, Brian Neitzel; an infant brother; an infant sister, Barbara; her sisters, Benita Bitter and Elaine Kuether; a brother-in-law, Harold Bitter; her father-in-law & mother-in-law, Walter & Edna Hansmann; her paternal grandparents, Henry & Augusta Heuer; and her maternal grandparents, Albert & Martha Strassburg. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, February 11, 2013, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church W2090 State Hwy 23 Mount Calvary, WI. Rev. Thomas Behnke will officiate. Mirtha will be laid to rest in the Rienzi Cemetery in Fond du Lac. Visitation will be at the Sippel Funeral Home 1311 Thorp Street in St. Cloud on Sunday, February 10, 2013, from 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM and at St. Paul's Lutheran Church Monday morning from 9:00 AM until the time of services.
