Myrtle Bastian

Myrtle Bastian, age 95, of 768 Deerview Rd. Brillion, died on Friday, April 27, 2012 at Homestead Care Center in New Holstein. She was born February 9, 1917, daughter of the late Walter & Elsie (Greve) Bastian. She married Lawrence Bastian on December 7, 1938. Myrtle was a dedicated wife and mother. She loved caring for her grandchildren, loved flowers and gardening, baking, and crocheting. She was a member of Zion United Methodist Church in Forest Junction and the United Methodist Women. Survivors include her children, Jerry Bastian of Hilbert, Tom (Anita) Bastian of Oregon, Kathy (Jim) Lane of Brillion, Mark (Lonie) Bastian of Brillion, 9 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, 1 great great granddaughter, 3 sisters and 2 brothers. She was preceded in death by her husband Lawrence on May 26, 1993, a son Dennis, and 1 brother. Funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday May 2, 2012 at the Wieting Funeral Home in Brillion. The Rev. Becky Kindschi will officiate. Burial will be at Highland Memorial Park in Appleton. Friends may call at the Wieting Funeral Home in Brillion on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
