Nancy B. Aplin

Nancy B. Aplin, age 90, of Brillion, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Wednesday evening, January 31, 2024 at Ascension St. Elizabeth Hospital in Appleton.

Nancy was born on April 28, 1933 in Brillion, daughter of the late Oscar & Viola (Lindner) Beilke, Sr.  She was a graduate of Brillion High School, class of 1951.  On June 5, 1954, she married her high school sweetheart, Jerome Aplin, at Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church in Brillion.  He preceded her in death on July 28, 2004.  Nancy worked at a few places over the years: Rudy’s Café, Tadych’s T&C Market in the bakery department, was one of the top Tupperware Ladies, and would bake professional wedding cakes.  Nancy and Jerome enjoyed bowling leagues, snowmobiling, camping, traveling, and spending winters in St. Petersburg, FL together.  She was an accomplished and avid quiltmaker as well.  Her family quilts are not only a keepsake but a beautiful act of love for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.   Nancy would also crocheting, making hats for the Salvation Army and creations for family and friends.  She was a very active member at Peace Ev. and Reformed Church in Potter, volunteering when she could and attending the Evening Guild Bible Study.  She was also a member of the Red Hatters.  Above all, Nancy loved her family and spending time with them.

Nancy is survived by her children and spouses:  Cindy Peters of Kaukauna, Todd (Judy) of Brillion, Chad (Lynn) of Brillion, Evan of New Holstein, and Kirk (Mary) of Darboy; grandchildren: Tara (Jason) Smits, Katie (Phil) Micksch, Mitchell (Brooke), Jordan, Devin, Ian, Mason, and Raymond; proud great-grandma to: Carlie, Josslyn, and Rosalie Smits, Henry, Patrick, and Claire Micksch, Traeger and baby girl Aplin, and Silas Barrera; siblings and in-laws: Sharon Goldschimidt of Neenah, Jane (Lloyd) Huebner of Eau Claire, Oscar (Mary) Beilke, Jr. of New Holstein; in-laws: Darlene (Jake) Mertz of Potter and Bonnie (Ken) Monte of Chilton; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Oscar & Viola Beilke, Sr.; her husband, Jerome; her father-in-law and mother-in-law: Raymond and Ruth Aplin; son-in-law: Dennis Peters; two granddaughters: Hailey Aplin and Hannah Aplin; and in-laws: Harland “Goldie” Goldschmidt, James (Audrey) Aplin, Eugene (Delores) Aplin, Betty (Royal) Becker, Janice (Harvey) Hartz, Dolores (Willard) Knoespel; her little dog: Misty; and other relatives.

Funeral Service will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, February 5, 2024 at Peace Ev. and Reformed Church in Potter.  Officiating will be Rev. Dr. Marc Axelrod.  Burial will be at Brillion Community Cemetery.

Friends may call at the church on Monday afternoon from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m.  Online condolences may be made.
