Nancy J. Hess, age 86, of New Holstein, passed away with her loving family at her side at Willowpark Place in New Holstein on Thursday, February 17, 2022.
She was born March 18, 1935, in Marinette, WI to Joseph & Charlotte "Lottie" (Pazynski) Syzmusiak. Nancy graduated from Marinette High School and received her degree in cosmetology in Milwaukee.
On August 8, 1956, she married Robert Hess in Marinette, Wisconsin; Robert preceded her in death on June 4, 1997.
Nancy and Robert established Hess & Associates in New Holstein where she worked along-side her husband.
She was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in New Holstein and was a Den Mother for several years in the Boy Scouts.
Survivors include her three children, Bill (Lori) Hess of rural Kiel, Susan (Damien) Popp of Carmel, IN, and Gary (Carla) Hess of New Holstein; her daughter-in-law, Lori (Halbach) Hess of New Holstein; 10 grandchildren, Aryn (Jeff) Ethridge, Brooke (Benjamin) Bateman, Lauren Hess, Robert Hess, Holly (Jason) O'Brien, Brandon (Kelly) Popp, Abbey (Timothy) Fritschler, Joshua Brandenburg, Matthew Hess, and Bradley (Kimberly) Hess; 25 great-grandchildren, Caden, Sophie, Leon, Jackson, Eli, Charlotte, Ophelia, Roman, Annabelle, Montgomery, Josefina, Kash, McCoy, Thomas, Brody, Bentley, Brooks, Britt, Otis, Wren, Magnolia, Maisy, Carter, Callie, and Camden; her brother, Daniel (Mary) Simon; a niece, Kaeri Zandate; her brothers-in-law, Tom (Joan) Hess of Athelstane, WI and Jerry Hess of Wausau, WI; her sisters-in-law, Anne (William) Anderson of Athelstane, WI, Judi Hess of Kimberly, and Diane Hess of Hudson.
Preceding Nancy in death were her parents, Joseph & Lottie Szymusiak; her husband, Robert; her son, Steven Hess; her father-in-law & mother-in-law, Raymond & Rose Hess; her brothers-in-law, Richard (Mary) Hess, James Hess, John Hess, and Frank Hess; her sisters-in-law, Lilly (John) Eckert and Mary (Jesse) Edwards.
A Liturgy Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, April 23, 2022, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 1724 Madison Street, New Holstein, WI 53061. Inurnment will take place in the parish cemetery.
Visitation: Family and friends may visit with Nancy's family at Holy Rosary Catholic Church on Saturday, April 23rd from 11:30 AM until 12:45 PM.
