Obituary

Nolan S. Hollister, age 77, of New Holstein, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Wednesday, December 24, 2014. He was born March 3, 1937, in Plymouth, WI to the late Stephen & Leona (Hulee) Hollister. Nolan attended grade school in Cascade and graduated from Waldo High School with the class of 1955. He served in the Navy Reserve in 1954 and active duty from 1955 to 1957 being stationed mostly in Norfolk, VA serving aboard the USS Forrestal. On November 29, 1958, he married the love of his life, Shirley Konstanz in Waukegan, IL. Nolan had worked for Kohler Co. for 34 years until his retirement in 1999. In 1999 he and his wife moved to Stockton, MO where he enjoyed fishing on Stockton Lake and canoeing the area rivers. He enjoyed playing the piano and being outside. Nolan was avid fan of the Green Bay Packers as well as college football. He passed his love of fishing on to his grandchildren, Amy & Adam. In 2013, he and his wife moved back to Wisconsin settling in New Holstein. Survivors include his wife, Shirley; his daughter, Sue (Terry) Erickson of Kiel and their children, Amy & Adam; his son, Mike Hollister and his daughter, Brittny; his faithful dog, Molly; brother, Spencer Hollister of Plymouth; brothers-in-law; sisters-in-law; nieces; and nephews. Preceding him in death were his parents, Stephen & Leona Hollister and his brother, Sherman Hollister. Private family services were held.
