Norbert F. Schreiber, age 91, formerly of Marytown, passed away Saturday afternoon, December 19, 2020, at the Willowdale Nursing & Rehabilitation Center where he had been a resident since August.
He was born May 18, 1929, in St. Nazianz to Rudolph & Mary (Lax) Schreiber.
Norbert served in the US Marine Corp from 1952 to 1954.
Norbert began his working career at the former Hart Carter Co. in New Holstein. He then worked as an auto mechanic at Reichardt Auto Service in Kiel and Bill Walter Ford in Sheboygan. He then worked for a few years at M-B Company in New Holstein and finally returning to Tecumseh Engine Products in New Holstein until his retirement in 1991. He worked part-time at Fuhrmann Mink Ranch in St. Anna and also at the Town of Calumet Recycling Center.
He was a 46 year member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Marytown.
Survivors include his three children, Michelle (Keith) Knatzke of New Holstein, Michael (Rebecca) Schreiber of St. Cloud, and Shari Schreiber of Kiel; four grandchildren, Alexandria Knatzke, Brittany (Justin) Ertl, Dalani Schreiber, and Kenzi Schreiber; and his brother, Joseph Schreiber of Chilton.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Rudolph & Mary Schreiber; three brothers, Harlan, Robert (Esther), and Frederick (Ethel); and two sisters, Dorothy (Orville) Libke and Marcella Schreiber.
A private Liturgy Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Marytown. Norbert will be laid to rest in the parish cemetery.
