Norman F. Stecker, age 88 of Rantoul, died on Sunday, November 1, 2015 at Garrow Villa in Brillion. He was born on August 19, 1927 in the Town of Rantoul, son of the late Frederick and Dora (Krueger) Stecker. Norman married Elaine Koffarnus on August 19, 1950 at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Hilbert. He farmed in the Town of Rantoul and also worked for Chilton Metal Products for 22 years. He loved to polka dance and play sheepshead. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Rantoul. Survivors include his children, Kenneth (Linda) Stecker, Rodney Stecker and Rhonda (Simon) Geiger all of Brillion, his grandchildren, Jeremy Stecker, Lisa (Chris) Ott, Adam (Abby) Geiger, Stephanie (Joshua) Petersen and Philip Geiger, 3 great grandchildren, Owen and Natalie Ott and Abram Geiger. Norman was preceded in death by his wife Elaine on January 23, 1998 and two sisters Gladys Gotter and Dorothy Stecker. Funeral service will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Thursday, November 5, 2015 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Rantoul. The Rev. Patrick Niles will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
