Norman L. Steffes, age 93, of Chilton, passed away Monday, November 28, 2016, at the Atrium Post Acute Care Center in Chilton. He was born January 25, 1923, in Chilton, to the late Simon & Catherine (Schaefer) Steffes. He served in the Coast Guard. Norman taught English for many years for the Los Angeles Unified School District. Norman is survived by his daughter, Nancy Steffes of Los Angeles; his son, Bill (Silvia) Steffes of Los Angeles; two grandchildren, Michael & Jason. He is further survived by nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends. Private burial services were held at Holy Trinity Catholic Cemetery in Jericho on Friday, December 2, 2016.
