Orrin W. Piepenburg, age 85, went to Heaven on September 7, 2026 after a brief illness.

He was born on September 25, 1940 in the Family Farm Homestead north of Reedsville to the late Walter & Elvira (Maertz) Piepenburg.

Orrin graduated from Reedsville High School in 1958, where he met his wife Teresa Vondrachek by their lockers. They were married February 9, 1963. He played multiple sports and received a medal for being “The Outstanding Athlete of 1958.” He was a Packers, Badgers, and Brewers Fan. If you sat next to him you could hear the constant ESPN notifications on his phone.

He was a Farmer at heart till the end of his journey. He was still planting seeds and watching them grow. “Outstanding in his field”. He was a Giving Guy who fed God’s creatures and birds daily and always had candy, especially for the grand-kids. A detail that Orrin wished for everyone to know is that he passed away sober, he lived one day at a time for fifty-three years of sobriety.

Orrin started his career in Road Construction and was instrumental in building I94 near Milwaukee. He then started Piepenburg Construction. It started out as an excavation company, progressed to poured basements and manure pits, and then Piepenburg Construction Company Incorporated, and he built homes together with his family.

Orrin was an avid Skeet Shooter and earned his place in the Skeet Shooters Hall of Fame. He was also an avid deer hunter harvesting many deer, but what he enjoyed most was time with family and friends during the hunt. He loved the woods and watched deer and other animals on “the best gift we ever gave him” his trail cameras.

Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Teresa; their children and spouses: Jon (Angela), Jill (Skip) Greve, and Jeremy (Tiffany); grandchildren: Lexi (Justin) Cavanaugh, Elliot (Emma Claire) Piepenburg, Amber (Jacob) Adams, Molly Piepenburg, Cody (fiancée Haley Huss) Greve, Collin Greve, and Olivia Piepenburg; great-grandchildren: Jovie and Beckett Adams, and Arthur Piepenburg; his siblings and in-laws: Allen (Xiao Xiao), Janet Gollnick (Dick Tisler), Anne (Jim) Beasley, and Julie Vondrachek; many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his father-in-law and mother-in-law: Charles and Veronica Vondrachek; Teresa’s siblings and in-laws: Rita (Jurgen) Vincent, Mary (Bill) Egan, Catherine (Don) Otte, Jerry, James and Gerald Vondrachek, and Jim Hartnett.

Funeral Service will be held at 5:00 p.m. Monday, September 14, 2026 at the Pielhop Funeral Home in Brillion. Officiating will be Rev. Joe Weiers. Private entombment will be at Knollwood Mausoleum.

The family will greet relatives and friends at the Brillion Funeral Home from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the service at 5:00 p.m. Food and fellowship to follow the service at Carstens Mill.
