Pacha L. Grissom

March 27, 1944 — July 30, 2025

Pacha L. Grissom, age 81, of Cedarburg, passed away peacefully on Wednesday morning, July 30, 2025 at Hamilton House for Seniors.

Pacha was born on March 27, 1944 in Mitchell, Indiana, daughter of the late John & Amelia (Sides) Graves.  She was a graduate of Shawswick High School, class of 1962.  On April 12, 1969, she was united in marriage to James “Jim” M. Grissom in Bedford, IN.

Pacha started her career with the Department of State in Washington, DC.  She worked until the birth of their first son, and then was a stay-at-home mom until their second son and daughter were school age.  During that time, Jim was working in the airline industry, and she and Jim moved to Ohio, back to Washington, DC and then settled in Wisconsin in 1985 raising their family.  When she returned to employment, she was the administrative secretary at Leeson Electric.  When sold, she then worked as a legal secretary at Foley & Lardner Law Firm until her retirement.

Pacha and Jim enjoyed traveling early in their marriage.  One notable trip was the time they went to South America with his sister.  Once they started having children, their trips and interests stayed closer to home.  She also enjoyed horseback riding, a passion that she shared with her younger children.  She even had a race horse “Oh My How She Flys” whom she enjoyed riding.  Pacha was the most amazing Mom, always family orientated, loved family functions, and supported all of her children and their passions 110%.

Pacha is survived by her children and spouses; Emmett (Tammy) Grissom, Cedarburg, Garrett (Valerie) Grissom, Manitowoc, and Kariann (Dustin) Schmitz, Austin, TX; grandchildren; Christopher, Katelyn, Tyler Grissom and Kyndall Schmitz. She is further survived by her siblings and in-laws: Dan (Judy) Graves of Indiana, Tom (Linda) Grissom of Indiana; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents; father-in-law and mother-in-law: Lester & Bernadette (Williams) Grissom; brother and sister-in-law: Raymond “Gary” (Debbie) Graves, and other in-laws.

Private family services will be held.  Pacha will be laid to rest with her husband in St. Joseph's Cemetery in Loogootee, Indiana.  Online condolences may be made:  www.pielhop.com Pielhop Funeral Homes of Reedsville & Brillion, WI assisted the Grissom Family with arrangements.
