Patricia "Pat" A. (Thornburg) Rose, age 79, of Van Dyne formerly of rural Mount Calvary, passed away with her loving family at her side, on Valentine's Eve (February 14, 2021), in her home. She was born November 8, 1941, at St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac to the late Vern & Margaret (Shallow) Thornburg. Pat attended St. Mary's Catholic School in Fond du Lac and graduated in 1960 from Goodrich High School. On December 31, 1960, she married Darwin Rose at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Fond du Lac. Pat worked as an Administrative Assistant for many years at St. Agnes Hospital and Marian College. She also ran her own businesses, Pat's Typing & Duplicating and the Calvary Crier; a newsletter that she started that circulated throughout the Holyland area consisting of area events and news. She was a long-standing member of the Church of Peace United Church of Christ in Fond du Lac. Pat most enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a talented cook, baker, and enjoyed many various hobbies from knitting to fishing; in other words, she never sat still. Survivors include her husband, Darwin; her three children, Dan (Barb) Rose of St. Cloud, Dena Rose of Fond du Lac "St. Peter" and her significant other, Rusty, and DeeDee (Dan) Braun of Van Dyne; 10 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; her brothers & sister, Jeffrey Thornburg, James (Nancy) Thornburg, and Donna Thornburg; her sister-in-law, Roberta Thornburg; her brother-in-law, Gordon (Helen) Rose; many nieces; nephews; other relatives; and many friends, especially her very dear friend, Carol McCrory. Preceding her in death were her parents, Vern & Margaret Thornburg; her brother, Richard Thornburg; her brother-in-law, Myron (Julie) Rose; a sister-in-law, Elaine Rose; and a niece, Carol Jean Rose. Visitation: Family and friends may visit with Pat's family at the Sippel Funeral Home, 1311 Thorp Street, St. Cloud, WI 53079, on Friday, February 19, 2021, from 3:00 PM until 6:00 PM. Funeral Services will be held privately.
