Pat lived his entire life in Hilbert, and he was a graduate of Hilbert High School, class of 1956. He met Virginia “Ginny” E. Laughrin at the Red Wood Bar. The two were married on August 18, 1962 in Calumet County. Pat worked as an assessor for various towns and villages, he was an auctioneer for a number of years, and he sold real estate. Pat served his community for many decades in multiple ways. He was a member of the Hilbert School Board and was on the Calumet County Board, most notably on the Land and Water Conservation Committee. Pat was also an avid Brewer fan. But most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family.

(Sue) Laughrin of Lincoln, NE; one daughter and son-in-law: Betty (Tracy) Bergquist of Marshall, WI; grandchildren: Michaela (Gabe) Williamson, David (Kayla) Laughrin, Ryan Laughrin, Amanda (Kole) Landwehr, Jon (fiancee’ Kayleigh) Bergquist, Andy Bergquist; 6 great-grandchildren with one more on the way; one sister: Carol Jahnke; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ginny on January 9, 2026; one son: Michael P.; one daughter: Cynthia F.; his brother, John; and in-laws.
