Patrick Pat Sheehy, age 72, of 415 N. 3rd Street in Reedsville, died unexpectedly on Sunday, May 15, 2011 at Aurora Medical Center in Two Rivers. He was born December 16, 1938 in Maple Grove, son of the late John and Frances Kunesh Sheehy. He married Darlene Zarnoth Zipperer on October 14, 1972 in Reedsville. He was a graduate of Reedsville High School class of 1957 and was voted Most Valuable Football Player his senior year of high school. He also played semi pro football for the Manitowoc Chiefs. Pat served in the National Guard and after his service worked in construction as a heavy equipment operator. He loved racing stock cars for many years and also enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Brillion and the Operating Engineers Local 139. Survivors include his wife Darlene, two daughters and sons-in-law; Brenda (Terry) Peik of Reedsville, Joy (Randy) Preston of Two Rivers, two grandchildren; Eric (Kimberley) Peik and Amber Peik, two brothers; Alfred (Joanne) Sheehy and Bob (Alice) Sheehy all of Reedsville, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law; Joan Sheehy, Betty Zarnoth, Carol (Walter) Olp, George Jelich, Peter (Betty) Zarnoth, Bert (Dorothy) Zarnoth and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Eileen Bernier, a brother Harold Sheehy, his mother-in-law and father-in-law; Hildagarde and Peter Zarnoth, brother-in-law; Delmar Zarnoth, sister-in-law; Marilyn Jelich, a niece Judy Denor and a nephew Jon Sheehy. Mass of Christian burial will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, May 20 at Holy Family Catholic Church in Brillion. The Rev. Larry Abler will officiate. Burial will be in the St. Patrick Cemetery, Maple Grove. Friends may call at the church on Friday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of mass.
