Paul J. Halbach, age 40, of New Holstein, passed away Saturday, December 6, 2014, at the Aurora Sheboygan Medical Center with his family by his side; following a short battle with cancer. He was born December 20, 1973, in Chilton to Francis "Doc" & Rose (Schwabenlender) Halbach. Paul attended Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah schools. He graduated in 1992. Paul was currently employed at the Kohler Company for 20 years. He enjoyed shooting pool; he was on the Twisted Tap team in New Holstein. Paul was an avid Green Bay Packers, Wisconsin Badgers, and Milwaukee Brewers fan. In his spare time, he enjoyed putting model cars together. Paul was an extreme history buff; most notably the Civil War and World War II. Paul is survived by his parents, Francis "Doc" & Rose Halbach of St. Anna; two sisters, Jane (Donald) Turba of St. Anna and Sara (Tim) Cote` of St. Albans, VT; his close friend, Angie Raasch of Neenah; nieces and nephews, Aaron, Teagan, Tanner, Danika, and Kadyn Turba, Samantha Cote'; his Godfather, James Schwabenlender of New London; his Godmother, Arlene "Artie" (Marty) Buechel of New Holstein. He is further survived by aunts, uncles, many cousins, other relatives, and friends. Preceding him in death were his paternal grandparents, Edward & Lucille Halbach; and his maternal grandfather, Joseph Schwabenlender. A Memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, December 20, 2014 at the Sippel Funeral Home, 2618 Altona Ave New Holstein, WI 53061. Deacon Pat Knier will officiate. A gathering of family and friends will be held at the Sippel Funeral Home from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Inurnment will be in the Country View Cemetery in the Town of New Holstein.
