Paula Miller, age 71, of Mount Calvary, was called home to the Lord on Monday, July 8, 2019, at the Hospice Home of Hope in Fond du Lac following a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.
Paula was born March 9, 1948, in Sheboygan to Jacob & Caroline (Wykhuis) Kruis. Paula grew up in Cedar Grove attending school there; graduating from Cedar Grove High School in 1966. She received her cosmetology license following high school and was employed with Kate's Hair Design in Port Washington for 40 years.
On June 21, 1985, she married John Miller at the First Reformed Church in Cedar Grove. Paula enjoyed tending to her flowers, gardening, knitting and sitting down with a good crossword puzzle book in her hands. Paula would watch the Packers and Brewers and also enjoyed cooking and baking, a talent acquired from her mother, for her family and friends.
Paula is survived by her husband, John; her three children, Jenny (Jay) Dalzin of Port Washington, Jackie Miller of Belle Plaine, MN, and John "Jay" Miller and his friend, Kim of Grafton; her brothers, Carter (Katie) Kruis of Oostburg and Todd (Cindy) Kruis of Cedar Grove; 12 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Joe (Shirley) Miller, Marilyn (Ken) Kohlman, Delbert Miller (friend, Nancy), Jim Miller (friend, Bernie), Matt (Toni) Miller, Mark (Ann) Miller, Mike (Alice) Miller, Kate (Tom) Thresher, George (Mary) Miller, Chris Danor, Alice (John) Steffen. Paula is further survived by many nieces; nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Jacob & Caroline Kruis and her father-in-law & mother-in-law, Dr. Joseph F. & Viola Miller.
Funeral Services will be held at 6:00 PM on Monday, July 15, 2019, at the Sippel Funeral Home, 1311 Thorp Street St. Cloud, WI 53079.
Visitation: Family and friends may visit with Paula's family at the funeral home on Monday, July 15th from 2:00 PM until 5:45 PM.
Due to the road construction taken place on Main Street in St. Cloud, it is highly recommended to access the village via Rusmar Road on the North East side of town.
Paula's family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the nurses and staff at the Aurora Cancer Care and Aurora Hospital in Grafton and to the caregivers at the Hospice Home of Hope for the wonderful care and compassion given to her. A heart-felt thank you is also expressed to Dr. Corey J. Shamah.
