Peggy Madson, age 63, of Manitowoc, passed away peacefully from natural causes on Saturday, August 19, 2023 at her home after one of the best days of her life spent with all of her grandchildren.
Peggy was born on November 3, 1959 in Manitowoc, daughter of the late James T. “Jim” and Ramona “Monie” (Haupt) Madson. She was a graduate of Valders High School, class of 1978. Peggy went on to further her education in Music at Silver Lake College. She worked at various places offering pre-need funeral planning and providing health and Medicare insurance. Peggy also worked at Radio Shack, Office Max, and Cellcom. Being a lifelong member of Faith Lutheran Church in Valders, her faith was very important to her. She played the organ there for 30 years and worked on the Pastor Call Committee in 2018. Peggy also served on the Alano Society Board, often times supporting others while they gave support to her. Peggy could organize any party or event, always going above and beyond to make it special. She loved gathering people to enjoy food, fellowship, and love. She enjoyed gardening, baking, sewing, and playing Sheephead, but most of all, she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Peggy is survived by her son and daughter-in-law: Andrew (Danielle) Madson of Manitowoc; son-in-law: Jon Sousek of Mishicot; grandchildren: Kristina and partner: Nicholas Armenta of Manitowoc, James “Jimmy” Sousek of Mishicot, and Evelyn and Ivan Madson of Manitowoc; great-granddaughter: Arya Armenta of Manitowoc; sisters and brothers-in-law: Debra (Joseph) Linsmeier of Appleton, Pamela (Mark) Rinzel of Manitowoc, and Gail (Jeff) Ryan of Green Bay; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents Jim and Monie Madson, and her daughter Tara Sousek.
