Peter R. Link, age 67, of 426 Menasha Street, Reedsville, passed away on Saturday, June 18, 2011 at Aurora Medical Center, Manitowoc County. Peter was born on March 8, 1944 in Green Bay, son of the late William and Shirley (Probst) Link. He was a graduate of Reedsville High School, class of 1962. On June 17, 1967, he married Val Jean Bubolz at St. John St. James Lutheran Church, Reedsville. Peter enjoyed golfing, hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family. Peter is survived by his loving wife of 44 years: Val Jean of Reedsville; their dog: Coco; In-laws: Doris (Henry) Behnke, Joanne Bubolz, Raymond (Suzanne) Bubolz, all of Reedsville; godchildren: Joan (Tim) Sheahan, Doug (Kelly) Bubolz, both of Reedsville, Michael (Dee) Schubring, FL, and Adam (fiance Melissa) Bubolz, of Collins; nieces and nephews: Barry Link, of Milwaukee, Cheryl Link, of Mishicot, Bruce (Vicki) Behnke, of Suamaco, Michael Vanden Avond, Nancy (Bill) Hillmann, Randel (Julie) Bubolz, all of Reedsville, Donna Stratton, TX, Daniel (Rosemary) Bubolz, of Reedsville, Robert (Kristy) Bubolz, of Manitowoc, Andrew (Heidi) Bubolz, Amanda (Nick) Schrubbe, all of Reedsville, and six step-nieces and step nephews, other relatives, and friends. Peter was preceded in death by one brother and sister-in-law: Bill and Mary Ann Link; father-in-law and mother-in-law: Raymond and Helen Bubolz; one brother-in-law: Donald Bubolz; and a niece: Brenda Vanden Avond. Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 22, 2011 at St. John St. James Lutheran Church, Reedsville. Officiating at the service will be the Rev. Timothy Nommensen with burial to follow at Westside Cemetery, Reedsville. Friends may call at church on Wednesday morning from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. John St. James Lutheran Church, Reedsville appreciated. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the ICU nurses at Aurora Medical Center, Manitowoc County, and the nurses at Rivers Bend Health and Rehabilitation, Manitowoc for the compassionate care given to Peter and his family.
