Peter A. Stieglitz

Peter Alfred Stieglitz, age 74, of Brillion, died on Friday October 28, 2016 at his home. He was born on August 7, 1942 in Milwaukee, son of the late Orvin and Emma (Diener) Stieglitz. He married Kathleen Krugler on August 17, 1963 in Thiensville. Pete worked at Modern Equipment Co. in Port Washington, Whiting Corp. in Harvey IL, AO Smith Corp. in Milwaukee, and the Brillion Iron Works, retiring in 1988. After his retirement, Pete and Kathy owned and operated the Williams Lake Lodge in Dryden Ont. Canada until they moved back to Brillion. He was a founding member of the Brillion Community Church, a member of the Northwest Ontario Tourist and Deer Management Org. and the Dryden Outfitters and Camp Owners Assoc. Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Kathleen, a daughter Beth (Jeff) Rustick of Neenah, a son Brian of Brillion, 2 grandchildren A.J. and Jenna, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, John (Dee) Krugler of Brookfield, Tom (Pam) Krugler of Wauwatosa and Bill (Christie) Krugler of White Fish Bay and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Pete was preceded in death by his parents, a sister and brother-in-law, Milly and Dick Flood, a brother and sister-in-law Eugene and Nancy Stieglitz, and a brother-in-law and sister-in-law Jim and Glenda Krugler. Funeral service will be held on Thursday November 3, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at the Brillion Community Church. Pastor Sam Timm will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Thursday from NOON until the time of service.  In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Pete’s name.
