Phyllis E. (Mullendore) Fulkerson, age 84, of New Holstein, passed away surrounded by family on Monday, September 17, 2018 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Appleton after complications from health issues. She was born September 3, 1934, in Tomahawk, WI to Floyd & Malvina (Paquette) Mullendore. Phyllis attended Holy Rosary Grade School and graduated from New Holstein High School in 1952. On February 6, 1960, she married William "Bill" Fulkerson in Santa Monica, CA. Bill preceded her in death on January 9, 2015. Phyllis had worked at Ameriquip and later on at New Holstein High School until retiring in 1998. She was a member of Holy Rosary Parish in New Holstein and the New Holstein American Legion Auxiliary. Phyllis enjoyed spending time with her friends playing cards in her card club and bowling with her husband in the "Guys & Dolls" couples league in New Holstein. Most of all, Phyllis enjoyed spending time with her family. Survivors include her two children, Greg Fulkerson and his close partner, Gabriele, of Valrico, FL and Nancy (Keith) Koene of New Holstein; six grandchildren, Alisha (Brad) Thome, Amara & Alyssa Melchert, William "Willie" Fulkerson, Andrea & Benjamin Koene; five great-grandchildren, Addison & Beckett Thome, Mackenzie Melchert, Nia & Neveah Melchert; her former daughter-in-law, Traci Fulkerson of Williams, AZ, her sister, Jenny Lee Wagner of Green Bay; and her former brother-in-law, Benjamin Wagner of Green Bay. She is further survived by nieces & nephews, John (Rick), Christine, Edward, Karen (partner, Ujvala), Debbie (Ron), Denise (Butch) and their families. Preceding her in death were her parents, Floyd & Malvina Mullendore; her husband, Bill Fulkerson; father-in-law & mother-in-law, William & Harriet Fulkerson; sister-in-law, Lila (Robert) LaFlower; and a brother-in-law, Charles Fulkerson. Funeral Services will be held at 11:30 AM on Saturday, September 29, 2018, at the Sippel Funeral Home, 2618 Altona Avenue, New Holstein, WI 53061. Visitation: Family and friends may visit with the family at the funeral home Saturday morning from 10:00 AM until 11:15 AM.
