Raphael John Seefeldt, age 88, of Brillion, passed away Wednesday, March 30, 2011 at his home. Ray was born on April 20, 1922 in Brillion, son of the late Herman Sr. and Vila (Dickert) Seefeldt. He was a graduate of Brillion High School, class of 1940. Ray served our county in the United States Navy and was in Pearl Harbor after the attack of 1941. On July 10, 1946 he married Ruth E. Caflisch. She preceded him in death on October 4, 1994. Ray worked as a mechanic at Ryder Leasing. He is survived by his son: Randall, Brillion; two grandchildren: Jeffrey, Kenosha and Amanda, Jefferson; one great-grandchild: Braxton Lee; one sister-in-law: Eunice Seefeldt, Brillion, and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife Ruth, two brothers and one sister-in-law: Herman Seefeldt Jr. and Kenneth (Ethel) Seefeldt; one sister and brother-in-law: Marjorie (Cliff) Weisshahn; and other in-laws. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 2 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Brillion. The Revs. Ross Henzi and Jonathan Bourman will officiate. Military rites will be accorded at church by the Bloedorn-Becker-Jensen American Legion Post 126 of Brillion. Burial will take place at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Brillion.
