Rawleen R. (Davis) Sippel, age 87, of St. Cloud, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, November 20, 2022, at SSM St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac.
She was born April 23, 1935, in Friday Harbor, WA to Orrin & Georgia (Murray) Davis. Rawleen attended school in Friday Harbor.
On October 23, 1954, she married Leroy Sippel at Valley Catholic Church in Friday Harbor; where they met while Leroy was serving in the Coast Guard. After their marriage, the couple moved to St. Cloud, WI where they remained for the rest of their lives.
In the early 1960's, Rawleen & Leroy purchased the Wehner Grocery Store in St. Cloud. They retired from the grocery store in 1995.
Rawleen was a member of Our Lady of the Holyland Parish-St. Cloud Church, the Christian Women's Society, and the St. Cloud American Legion Auxiliary. She was an avid golfer, bowler, and Wisconsin sports fan. She also loved to play cards. Rawleen worked in the voting polls in St. Cloud for many years. She was the editor for the former St. Cloud Shopper.
Survivors include her husband, Leroy; her three Children, Deb (Dan) Kuitert of Fond du Lac, Bob (Debbie) Sippel of St. Cloud, and Kelly (Jill) Sippel of New Holstein; five grandchildren, Kelly (Kevin) Nellessen, Geoff Kuitert, Nicole (Dan) Bulin, Jason Sippel, and Jeremy Sippel; three great-grandchildren, Tony, Ava, and Makenna; her sister, Alice "Punkie" Berenz of Plymouth: a brother-in-law, Fr. Bernie Sippel of Mount Calvary; and two sisters-in-law, Helen Sippel of Milwaukee and Janet Sippel of Mount Calvary. Rawleen is further survived by nieces; nephews; other relatives; and friends.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Orrin & Georgia Davis; a brother, Robert Davis; her father-in-law & mother-in-law, Albert & Louise Sippel; her brothers-in-law, Claude Berenz, Edward (Bernice) Sippel, Alphonse (Ginny) Sippel, Ambrose Sippel, and Cletus Sippel.
A Liturgy Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, November 26, 2022, at Our Lady of the Holyland Parish-St. Cloud Church 924 Main Street, St. Cloud, WI 53079. Rev. Bernie Sippel, Rev. Paul Koenig, OFM Cap, and Rev. Larry Abler, OFM Cap will concelebrate. Burial will take place at a later date in the St. Cloud Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation: Family and friends may visit with Rawleen's family at the church in St. Cloud Saturday, November 26th from 9:00 AM until 11:30 AM.
A memorial fund will be established in her name.
