Obituary

Richard Clarence Braun, 76, of rural Glenbeulah (Town of Greenbush), died peacefully on Thursday, March 23, 2017, at Agnesian Hospice Home of Hope in Fond du Lac with family by his side. Richard was born on August 25, 1940 in the town of Osceola, the son of the late Alois "KiKi" and Bernice Freund Braun. On November 14, 1964, Richard married Darlene Katherine Feldmann from Plymouth and resided in the Town of Greenbush. Richard retired from Sargento, Plymouth after 35 years of employment. Richard was a volunteer fireman for the Greenbush Fire Department for 40 years. Richard is survived by his wife, Darlene; four children, David Braun of Fond du Lac, Debbie (Delbert) Woelfel of Fond du Lac, Judy (Andy) Steffen of Mt. Calvary and Brenda (Kevin) Schmitz of Malone; nine grandchildren, Adam and Liz Braun, Quinn and Ramzie Woelfel, Phillip, Jesse (Fiance', Raeann) Freund and Corey Freund; and Meghan and Mason Schmitz; two brothers, James (Rose) Braun of Fond du Lac, Michael (Lori) Braun of Elkhart Lake; three sisters, Joanne (Howard) Vander Zanden of Stoughton, Geri (Frank) Steiner of Plymouth, Darlene (James) Mueller of St. Cloud; sister-in-law Janice Braun of the town of Forest; along with aunts; uncles; nieces; nephews; other relatives; and friends. Richard is preceded in death by his parents, Alois & Bernice Braun; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ruddie & Edna Feldmann; and two brothers, Bernard Braun and Paul "PB" Braun. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 28, 2017, at St. Isidore Parish-Holy Cross Church, 308 S. County Road W, Mount Calvary, WI 53057. Rev. Gary Wegner, OFM Cap will officiate. Burial will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 29th at the Greenbush Cemetery.
