Richard David Mitts

Richard David Mitts, age 74, of Neenah, died on Monday, July 31, 2017 at Cherry Meadows in Appleton.

He was born on October 4, 1942 in St. Louis, MO son of Rosetta (Blanton) Mitts and the late Dewey Mitts.  Richard worked as a locksmith for many years. He loved to bowl and was proud of his “299” ring and was an excellent cribbage player. He was a member of Fox River Baptist Church and a proud member of NRA.

Survivors include his mother Rose, 4 daughters Tina (Mike), April (Charlie), Linda, and Kimberly; grandchildren: Jessy, Kristen, Crystal (Josh), Amanda (Steven), Nathan (Tori), Sara, and Samantha; and great-grandchildren: Imagine, Corinne, Lawton, Cecilia, Riley, Christopher, Brooklyn, Harper; a sister: Barbara (Lonie) Henry of MO and a brother Kevin Mitts of Kansas. Richard was preceded in death by his father, one sister Sharon, and one brother Jim.

Memorial service for Richard will be held on Friday, August 4 at 1:00 p.m. at the Wieting Funeral Home, 215 South Main St. in Brillion. Visitation will take place on Friday at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
