Robert John Keller, 78, passed away peacefully from complications from dementia on October 15, 2024.
Robert “Bob” Keller, Orange City FL, was born on September 27, 1946, in Green Bay, WI, to Rueben L. and Helen E. (Enneper) Keller. He was the second of five children. Robert was confirmed at Zion United Methodist Church, Forest Junction WI, on April 10, 1960.
Bob graduated from Brillion High School, Class of 1964, where he participated in Forensics, Homecoming Court, Band, Football, Basketball, Track, Wrestling, and Baseball.
Bob attended Wheaton College in Wheaton, IL for two years before joining the United States Air Force on September 26, 1966. He was stationed in Minot, ND and worked as a parachute rigger. Bob was honorably discharged on September 25, 1970, at the rank of Sergeant.
Bob met his future wife, Carol L. Turner at Wheaton College. Bob and Carol were married on February 11, 1967, at Chanute Air Force Base in Rantoul, Illinois.
Later, Bob attended Lakeland College in Sheboygan, WI and obtained a Bachelor of Arts Degree in 1977. He also attended Northwest Bible College in Minot, ND and obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in 1978.
Bob’s working career included Keller Implement; parachute rigger; stock broker; substitute teacher, and construction work.
On December 20, 1972, Bob was involved in a life-changing automobile accident.
Bob enjoyed reading the newspaper, following the stock market, watching Packer games, doing word search puzzles, and spending time with his family.
Survivors include Bob’s former wife Carol (Bill) Keller-Vlangas; sons, Robert (Krista) Keller, Evan (Karen) Keller, Daniel (Vikki) Keller, Stephen (Jennifer) Keller, Jeremy Keller; grand-children, Madison (Ethan) Heard, Camden (Haley), Jayden, Jackson, Declan, Finley, Braden, Charis, Weston, Kenlee Lewis, Chloee Lewis, Paxton, Isabella, Elijah, and Liberty; sister Nola Feldkamp, brothers Richard (Connie) Keller, and Kurt (Lisa) Keller; nieces and nephews, Greg (Julia) Feldkamp, Erica (John) Witte, and Katharina Keller.
Bob was preceded in death by his father Rueben, mother Helen, brother Peter, brother-in-law Paul Feldkamp, sister-in-law Kathleen (Corr) Keller [Richard], sister-in-law Ann (Rohde) Keller [Peter]; daughter-in-law Lindsay (Joiner) Keller [Stephen].
Bob’s family gives their heartfelt thanks to the friends who provided prayers, and encouragement; as well as the staffs at Oak Village by Preferred Assisted Living and Majestic Oaks at John Knox Village for their care and comfort.
Robert J. Keller’s interment was on July 22, 2025, in Brillion, Wisconsin, in a private ceremony.
