Robert Mcewan Zickert

Robert McEwan Zickert, age 69 of W213 East Hills Rd. Brillion, died unexpectedly on Tuesday September 27, 2011 at Appleton Medical Center. He was born on July 7, 1942 in Fond du lac, son of the late Robert C. and Marian (McEwan) Zickert. He married Diane Buchanan on October 14, 1967 in Oshkosh. Robert served in the national guard for several years. He worked at the Ariens Company in Brillion, Mercury Marine in Fond du Lac and later worked at White Clover Dairy in Hollandtown until his retirement. He was a member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Menasha. Survivors include his wife Diane, 2 sons, Jon (Karen) Zickert of Thompsonville, MI, Jeff Zickert and special friend Tammy of Brillion, 5 grandchildren, Kalista, Ethan, Quinn, Flora, and Rowan, a brother Gerald (Sue) Zickert of Waukegan, IL, his mother-in-law Phyllis Buchanan of Oshkosh, a sister-in-law Edith (Al) Schweer of Gainesville, FL, and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents. Memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 1 at 11:00 a.m. at the Wieting Funeral Home in Brillion. Father Ralph Osborne will officiate.
