Roger Roland Olm

Roger Roland Olm, age 86 of Reedsville, died Friday, December 9, 2011 at his home. He was born May 21, 1925 son of the late Jonathan and Leona (Stahlkopf) Olm. He married Mildred Bergeron on May 21, 1947 at St. Peters Lutheran Church in Collins. Roger served in the U.S. Navy during World War II in Japan. He then worked at Tecumseh Products in New Holstein until his retirement. He served as president of Manitowoc County Fish & Game and the Reedsville Sportsman Club. He was a charter boat captain of the Straw Hat on Lake Michigan. He was a member of St. John St. James Lutheran Church in Reedsville. Survivors include his children; Michael (Judy) Olm of Shawano, Jacqueline Olm-Ford of Dallas, TX, Douglas (Beverly) Olm of Whitelaw, Kevin (Lisa) Olm of Reedsville, five grandchildren; Renee (Wayne) Hackelberg of Two Rivers, Chad Olm of Oshkosh, Kristin (Dustin) Anderson of Dallas, Brianna and Holly Olm of Reedsville, four great grandchildren; Ashley, Katelyn, Devon and Nathan and a great great granddaughter: Aloura. He was preceded in death by his wife Mildred on October 13, 2009 and a grandson Derek Ford. Funeral services will be held at NOON on Tuesday, December 13 at St. John St. James Lutheran Church in Reedsville, the Rev. Timothy Nommensen will officiate. Burial will be in the West Side Cemetery in Reedsville. Friends may call at the church on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
