Roger H. Stephanie, age 88, of rural New Holstein "Marytown", passed away Friday, May 14, 2021, at the Sharon S. Richardson Hospice in Sheboygan Falls.
He was born July 7, 1932, to John & Frances (Kraus) Stephanie. On April 19, 1952, he married Loretta Schoenborn at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Fond du Lac; they were married for 67 years. Loretta preceded him in death on February 27, 2020.
Roger worked several jobs in his life time; including driving semi for the Ford Tractor Company, farming, school bus driver, owned & operated Rogers Service Station in Marytown and in his final years, he delivered parts for Mack Truck.
He was a devoted husband & father. Roger was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Marytown, the Improved Order of Redmen, and the Marytown Veteran's.
Survivors include his seven children, Daniel (Linda) Stephanie, Kathy Gerner, Sandy (Michael) Toney, Cindy (Roger) Muellenbach, Barb (Dan) Schwind, Lynn (Tom) Dee, and Doug (Michelle) Stephanie; 14 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; his brother, Ambrose (Rosie) Stephanie; nieces; nephews; other relatives; and friends.
Preceding him in death were his wife, Loretta; his parents, John & Frances Stephanie; his sister, Rosie (Orville) Schwanke; his son-in-law, George Gerner; a brother-in-law, Elmer (Val) Schoenborn; and his father-in-law & mother-in-law, Michael & Clara Schoenborn.
A Celebration of Life Gathering will take place on Thursday, May 20, 2021, at the Cabaret in St. Cloud, 1401 Main Street St. Cloud, WI 53079 from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be established in his name.
