Roger Weber, age 87 of Hilbert, died on Saturday, July 19, 2014 at Brillion West Haven. He was born on November 14, 1926 on the family farm in the Town of Woodville, son of the late John & Martha (Anheier) Weber. He married Geraldine Sommers on August 25, 1951 at St. Francis Catholic Church in Hollandtown. He attended St. Mary Catholic Grade School and was a graduate of Hilbert High School class of 1944. He farmed in the Town of Woodville until 1976 when he sold his cows, and cash cropped until 1989. He also worked for local canning companies, did construction work and drove school bus for the Hilbert School District. Roger was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Hilbert, the Men's Club and the Catholic Order of Foresters for over 50 years. Survivors include his wife Geraldine "Gerry" , children Jeff Weber and special friend Tracie Bornemann and her son Brett Perronne, Jeanne (Peter) Schmitt, JoAnn (Paul) Peerenboom, 2 grandchildren, Michelle (Wes) Kempen and Rachel Peerenboom, 3 great grandchildren, Isaiah, Alana and Isabell Kempen, a sister Jane Hertel and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, a granddaughter Jessica Weber, a sister Jeanette Weber and a brother Jerome Weber. Mass of Christian burial will be held at 4:00 P.M. on Wednesday, July 23, 2014 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Hilbert. The Rev. Mike Betley will officiate. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Hilbert. Friends may call at the church on Wednesday from 2:00 to 3:45 P.M. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Roger's name.
