Roman L. Schmitz, age 55, of Sheboygan passed away Wednesday, May 12, 2021, at his residence. He was born in Fond du Lac on January 25, 1966, to the late Robert H. & Caroline (Sabel) Schmitz. Roman graduated from New Holstein High School in 1984. He was a machine operator at Rockline Industries in Sheboygan. Survivors include his sisters & brothers, Marie Schmitz of Fond du Lac, Theresa (Tom) Theel of Malone, Delores (Tabby) Kantala of South Carolina, Bernice (Lynn) Bub of Elkhart Lake, Robert Schmitz of Ripon, Richard (Lori) Schmitz of Chilton, and Helen (Thomas) Lichtenwald of North Fond du Lac; his Aunt & Godmother, Ludina Schmitz of Mount Calvary; many nieces; nephews; other relatives, and friends. Preceding him in death were his parents, Robert H. & Caroline Schmitz; aunts; uncles; and his beloved dog, Winney. Funeral Services will be held at 7:00 PM on Thursday, May 20th, 2021, at the Sippel Funeral Home, 2618 Altona Avenue, New Holstein, WI 53061. Rev. Gary Wegner, OFM Cap will preside. Inurnment will take place at St. Peter's Catholic Cemetery in St. Peter.
