Obituary

Ronald J. Buechel, age 81 of New Holstein entered into eternal life on Wednesday, January 18, 2012. Ronald was born on April 3, 1930 to Isabella and Englebert Buechel. On June 2, 1956, he married the former Dolores Heus. Ronnie retired from the Kohler Company in 1992 where he worked in the Pottery Division for 38 years. He served in the US Navy from 1951-1954. Ronnie was a member of the New Holstein American Legion Post 124 where he received his 50 year recognition in 2005. Ronnie enjoyed working and during his retirement years he worked on the farm for his brother in law and sister in law, Jim & Lori Heus where he enjoyed driving the tractor. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and sheepshead player. He and his brother in law, Alan Klotz enjoyed many hours pheasant hunting, and walleye & sturgeon fishing. Ronnie belonged to two special card clubs. One with his close co-workers and friends whom he referred to as his half brothers and the second club included their spouses. He was a member of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church and Holy Name Society. Survivors include his wife, Dolores of New Holstein; his four children, Douglas (Kathy) Buechel of McFarland, Debra (Randy) Scheidt of New Holstein, Daniel (Joan) Buechel of Fond du Lac, Denise (Tony) Burg of St. Cloud; his grandchildren, Kristin (Casey) Ausloos, Wes (aka Bubba) (Katie) Scheidt, Lyndsey and Zach Buechel, Carlee and Lydia Burg; his great grandchildren, Brady and Olivia Ausloos; three sisters Alice Mayer of Stockbridge, Lilas Hertel of Green Bay, Janice (Gordie) Rieder of New Holstein. Preceding in death were his parents and identical twin brother Donnie. A Celebration of Ronald's Life will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 21, 2012 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church 1724 Madison Street New Holstein. Military Rites will be conducted by the New Holstein American Legion Post 124 following the Mass. Inurnment will be in the parish cemetery in spring. Family and friends my call at the Sippel Funeral Home 2618 Altona Avenue New Holstein on Friday, January 20th from 4:00 PM-7:00 PM and may also call at Holy Rosary Church Saturday morning from 9:30AM until 10:30 AM. A prayer service will be held at the funeral home Friday evening at 7:00 PM. Special thanks to Dr. Deubler, the Vince Lombardi Cancer Clinic, Willowdale staff, and Calumet Hospice Care. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to a Hospice Care Fund that will be established in his name.
