Rosalie A. (Boni) Bauer, age 92, of Elkhart Lake, formerly of New Holstein, passed away Sunday, June 2, 2024, at her residence.

She was born July 3, 1931, in Oswego, New York, to Andrew & Catherine (Gentile) Boni. Rosalie graduated from Oswego High School.

On June 19, 1954, she married James Bauer in Oswego, New York. James preceded her in death on May 15, 2006.

Rosalie worked in HR for various companies before eventually working at New Holstein High School where she retired from at age 69.

She was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in New Holstein as well as the Christian Women's Society. Rosalie was also a member of the New Holstein American Legion Auxiliary, the Calumet Club, and belonged to a few bridge clubs in the area. Rosalie was most happy when she was in her kitchen and entertaining guests.

Survivors include her two children, Paula (Will) Pethan of New Holstein and Andrew (Maureen) Bauer of Madison; a daughter-in-law, Clare Bauer of Madison; a son-in-law, Charles Fett of New Holstein; 10 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Kay Boni of Oswego, New York. Rosalie is further survived by nieces; nephews; other relatives; and friends.

Preceding her in death were her husband, James Bauer; her son, Timothy Bauer; her daughter, Kathleen Fett; her parents, Andrew & Catherine Boni; four brothers and a sister, Bartholomew Boni, Theodore (Ruth) Boni, Joseph Boni, George (Carol) Boni, and Mary (John) Vona.

A Liturgy Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, June 12, 2024, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 1724 Madison Street, New Holstein, WI 53061. Rev. Alvan Amadi will officiate. Entombment will take place at Highland Memorial Park Mausoleum in Appleton.

Visitation: Family and friends may visit with Rosalie's family at Holy Rosary Catholic Church on Wednesday, June 12th from 10:00 AM until 12:45 PM.
