Rosaline M. (Schwarz) Rabe, age 99, of New Holstein, passed away on Wednesday, November 29, 2023, at her home.

She was born July 17, 1924, to John & Josephine (Mueller) Schwarz. Rose graduated from New Holstein High School in 1942.

On July 27, 1944, she married George H. Rabe in New Holstein; he preceded her in death on May 24, 1996.

Rose and her husband owned the Seven Corners Bar for 3 ½ years and after having their third child, they moved to a farm in the Town of New Holstein until 1979. She also worked at Schwarz's Supper Club. Rose volunteered at the voting polls for many years. She enjoyed bowling, playing cards, putting jig saw puzzles together, reading, gardening, sewing/quilting, cooking and baking.

Survivors include her eight children, Cheryl Sawitski of Oshkosh, Lynn Rabe of New Holstein, Judith Strutz of Green Lake, George III (Linda) Rabe of New Holstein, Bonnie Rabe of New Holstein, Jane (Gary) Kienbaum of New Holstein, Kathy Dill of New Holstein, and Scott (Liz) Rabe of Kiel; her son-in-law, Bob Jacque of School Hill (rural Kiel);

23 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; numerous nieces; nephews; other family members.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, George H. Rabe; two children, Wayne Rabe and Diane Jacque; four grandchildren, Kim Chapin, Carla Rabe, Tia Rabe, and Danielle Dill; her four brothers, Sylvester, Sigmund, Clarence, and Gregor; and four sisters, Edvina, Romilda, Marion, and Arlene.

Funeral Services will be held at 4:00 PM on Sunday, December 3, 2023, at the Sippel Funeral Home, 2618 Altona Avenue, New Holstein, WI 53061. Deacon Bernard Knier will preside. Burial will take place in the Countryview Cemetery in the Town of New Holstein.

Visitation: Family and friends may visit with Rose's family at the funeral home Sunday, December3rd from 2:00 PM until 3:45 PM.
