Rosemary L. Steffes, age 86, of St. Cloud, WI, peacefully went to meet her Savior on Monday, June 12, 2017. The former Rosemary Heimermann was born July 17, 1930 in Marytown, WI to Anton & Verena (Boehnlein) Heimermann. Rosemary attended St. Mary Catholic Grade School in Marytown. She graduated from Chilton High School and attended UW-Oshkosh. On April 14, 1953, she married Julian Steffes at St. Mary Catholic Church in Marytown. Julian preceded her in death on February 26, 2016. Rosemary was a member of St. Isidore Parish-St. Cloud Church and the Christian Women's Society. She greatly loved her husband, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Her lap was made for the many babies she held. Rose also loved the children of many working mothers that she cared for as her own. She loved her flowers, there isn't a flower that she wasn't able to name. Also, the many animals, especially Buddy and her boy Bennie. Rose knew every Brewer and Packer statistic, also enjoyed sewing, baking, canning with Harry and Larry, attending many family and cousin breakfast gatherings. Her memory was like a book, she never forgot a birthday or other important dates. Rose lovingly cared for her husband in the last years of his life. She will be sadly missed by all. Survivors include her eight children, John (Mary) Steffes, Julie (David) Schneider, Gary (Sue) Steffes, Mary Kay (Dennis) Nadler, Wayne (Sue) Steffes, Karen (Harry) Fannin, Claire (Jeff) Steiner, and Barbara (Lawrence) Fannin; 19 grandchildren, Katie (Jason), Kelly, Jake (Brooke), Kim (Josh), Brooke (Matt), Zack (Caitlin), Grant (Jess), Ashley, Fallon (Kory), Jeremy, Steven (Cassie), Wes (Nicole), Leah (Bob), Terah (Brian), Shawnna, Rayah (Cody), Brandon, Kean (Saskia), and Maci; 36 great-grandchildren. She is further survived by her sister, Lucille (Ralph) Loehr; her brother-in-law Ralph (Darlene) Steffes and Lawrence (Leonie) Schnurr; sisters-in-law, Sally Steffes, Shirley Steffes, Marge Steffes; and many nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her parents, Anton & Verena Heimermann; her husband, Julian; her brother, Marvin (Joanne) Heimermann; father-in-law & mother-in-law, John & Amelia Steffes; sisters-in-law, Angela (John) Burg, Dorleen (Orvin) Kleinfeldt, and Myrtle (Francis) Hall; brothers-in-law, Roland Steffes, Cletus Steffes, Paul (Martha) Steffes, and David Steffes. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2:30 PM on Monday, June 19, 2017, at St. Isidore Parish-St. Cloud Church, 924 Main Street, St. Cloud, WI 53079. Rev. Larry Abler, OFM Cap. will officiate. Rosemary will be laid to rest next to her husband, Julian, in the St. Cloud Catholic Cemetery.
