Roy D. Kelm, age 85, of New Holstein, passed away Thursday, November 25, 2021, at the Willowdale Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in New Holstein where he resided for the past 1 ½ years. He was born December 21, 1935, near Waterloo, WI to Elmer & Edith (Brown) Kelm. Roy graduated from Mayville High School in 1953. On July 31, 1971, he married Alma (Wendler) Haus Giessel. Alma preceded him in death on April 16, 2021. Roy worked as a welder at Arps/Ameriquip for over 36 years; he retired in 2001. He dabbled in photography on his free time and was always willing to lend a helping hand to others. With his Bible in his hands, he was well known to spread God's words. Survivors include his step-son, Keith Haus of Kiel; his step-grandchildren and their families, Patricia (Scott) Sohrweide and their children, Kayla & Alex of Chilton, Jennifer (Derek) Gleim and their son, Noah of Milwaukee, and Sara (Sam) Conrad and their children, Austin (Alina) and Isabella of Marytown; his sister, Fern (Theodore) Lamer of Poplar, WI; and his brother, Boyd (Moreine) Kelm of Fond du Lac. He is further survived by nieces; nephews; other relatives; and friends. Preceding him in death were his parents, Elmer & Edith Kelm; his wife, Alma; his step-daughter-in-law, Helen Haus; his infant brother, James; and his two sisters, Betsy Cook and Faye Morgan. Funeral Services will be held at 11:30 AM on Thursday, December 2, 2021, at the Sippel Funeral Home, 2618 Altona Avenue, New Holstein, WI 53061. Inurnment will take place in the New Holstein Cemetery at a later date. Visitation: Family and friends may visit with Roy's family at the Sippel Funeral Home on Thursday, December 2nd from 10:00 AM until 11:15 AM.
